![]() ![]() I normally like to keep things as clean as possible, but I've found there are some scenarios that this can be confusing, so a minimal amount of separation can be beneficial. I know this can be (and probably is) pretty controversial, so I would suggest to have and editable background color. What I've found is that gray is the optimal color to keep the dark mode, while maintaining optimal data visibility. Total black backgrounds tend to drastically increase contrast, which can make the information less obvious. This is mostly annoying on a big table, where there's no obvious "hazard free" place to click.Īs much as I'm a big fan of dark mode in general, along the years I found that there's a sweet spot for data heavy applications in terms of background color. I find it frustrating when trying to select a row, and then having to click outside to leave edit mode without saving. This behavior is similar in Postico and Sequel Pro if I'm not mistaken. I would like to suggest the one click to select the row, and then double click to enter the "edit" mode. At the moment, one click enters the "Edit" mode. ![]() I'm pretty used of selecting a row, specially in a table with lots of columns, this helps gives context on what I'm seeing and staying in place while lateral scrolling. Please forgive me if this is too much for a single issue, I couldn't find "discussions" for a more open ended post, and thought it would be better to concentrate everything in a single topic instead of cluttering the issues with tens of topics. ![]() I'm not the most proficient Vue dev, but I would be willing to contribute, wanted to get your thoughts and opinions on each suggestion so eventual contributions are more spot on. I've been a former user of Sequel Pro (using MySQL), which was pretty amazing, and I quite like several things in Postico as well, so just a bit of context so you guys can understand where my suggestions come from. I mostly use Postgres with Postico on a Mac along with Beekeeper. I decided to open a single issue, since this is a collection of ideas I've been gathering for a while. ![]()

But despite the ball clearly coming out, and the Pro Bowl defensive tackle coming away with it, referee Carl Cheffers threw a penalty flag and called Jones for roughing the passer.Ĭhiefs coach Andy Reid stormed off the sideline to argue. It was 17-0 when Kelce finally reached the end zone for the Chiefs, but it appeared as if the momentum had turned when Jones stripped Carr from behind and landed him. Adams drew another penalty on Jaylen Watson in the end zone, setting up Jacobs' short TD plunge. ![]() But rather than run Jacobs up the middle, or sneak with Carr, he aired it out to Adams, who ran past cornerback Rashad Fenton for the 58-yard TD catch.Īdams and the Raiders continued to pick on Fenton later in the half, when a pass interference moved Las Vegas deep into Chiefs territory. The game of twists and turns began with the Raiders failing to score on their opening drive for the first time all season.įacing 4th-and-inches in their own territory, McDaniels sent his offense back on the field. What he wouldn't have given for a chance at No. Daniel Carlson was 3-for-3 on field goals, extending his streak to 38 in a row. But the play was reviewed and Adams failed to get both feet in bounds, and Carr threw incomplete on 4th-and-1 with 47 seconds left before the Chiefs ran out the clock.Ĭarr finished with 241 yards passing, and Jacobs ran for 133 yards and a score, as the Raiders (1-4) lost to the Chiefs for the fourth straight time. The Raiders got the ball back one last time with 2:29 left, and a long third-down pass to Adams down the Kansas City sideline appeared to get them in field-goal range. But rather than kick a tying extra point, Raiders coach Josh McDaniels also went for 2, and Josh Jacobs - who had shredded the Chiefs defense all night - was stuffed at the goal line with 4:29 to go. The Chiefs did it despite defensive breakdowns, including TD catches of 58 and 48 yards by Davante Adams, and a penalty for roughing on defensive tackle Chris Jones that negated what would have been a turnover before halftime.Īdams' second TD reception came right after Kelce's last touchdown catch, when Kansas City (4-1) failed on 2-point try that left the score 30-23. Patrick Mahomes threw four touchdown passes to Travis Kelce, the Chiefs overcame an early 17-point deficit along with a dubious roughing-the-passer penalty, and Kansas City extended its mastery of the Las Vegas Raiders by holding on for a 30-29 victory Monday night. We had already planned to ride along the route, although we hadn’t a clue of when the next train would leave Skagway. I still remember sitting inside the trundling train, watching the great Alaskan scenery roll by, and considering what it must be like to have opportunity laid out as clearly as a railway line if only life were that simple.īut that day began simply indeed, with my cabin mate and I determined to ‘get some’ of Alaska by train. Investing time in these kinds of experiences seems to have gotten me closer to a gold strike of sorts, expanding my overall perspective. Steeped in history and tales of misfortune, this passage to riches emanated a sense of crazed desire that really spoke to me.Īlthough I wasn’t looking for gold, I was perhaps, like many of us, looking for something harder to define and more valuable. This railway initially only existed to service the epic Klondike gold rush, as brazen prospectors treacherously pursued the American Dream and flocked to Skagway in search of wealth and opportunity. It spoke to a childhood fascination I had with locomotion, but moreover, it represented a journey through time. That roundtrip remains the backbone of my time around Alaska. My ensuing journey aboard this line would take me across the border into Canada and back again. As the port is now solely sustained on tourism, it’s a great attraction to have all this attention to detail.īut what hasn’t been replicated, imitated, or indeed changed much at all since it’s completion at the turn of the 20 th century is Skagway’s main attraction The White Pass and Yukon Railroad. From the actresses portraying courtesans and calling out from top story windows to the staff at the Red Onion Saloon, the staff and residents double down to help immerse visitors in the era. Possibly the most ‘Alaskan’ port on the list, a stroll down Skagway’s main high street Broadway Avenue transports you back to the late 19 th century. If you do decide to book a cruise around Alaska, your main ports of call will probably include Juneau (the state capital), Ketchikan (and its famous lumberjack display), Icy Straight Point (the best place for whale watching), Sitka (great walks through the Tongass National Forest), Glacier Bay (a chance to get up close to the Hubbard Glacier) and my favorite port of all – Skagway. But the same is true of seeing Alaska by train, an expedition through history that will leave you awestruck. ![]() ![]() Whether it be seals floating past on the chunks of ice spilling out from the Hubbard Glacier, or Humpback whales and Dolphins breaching out the water to play in your wake, cruising around the main Alaskan ports on the Queen Elizabeth is an experience I cannot recommend highly enough. As I’ve come to find, unless you go by water, there are places in Alaska you simply cannot access, and experiences you cannot replicate on land. Standing out on the promenade deck, our cruise ship was completely dwarfed by the tall and narrow passage into Juneau. I’ll never forget the surreal feeling of calm and tranquillity seeing Tracy Arm Fjord growing into my field of view. Alaska is a place synonymous with stunning natural beauty. ![]() ![]()
![]() At times it can also lead to paralysis of the victim as a whole. Snake bites can have a pounding effect on nervous system, respiratory systems. A nonchalant attitude is not recommended assuming oneself that a nonvenomous snake has bitten. Whether snakes possess venom in them or no, after a bite of a snake, treatment is necessary. Though all snakes are not poisonous and nonvenomous snakes pose no threat one has to be careful. Interestingly rodents’ or rats’ population can be controlled by snakes and conversely snakes can be caught using rodents as baits. The way in which snakes help an ecosystem survive altogether is by preying on frogs and rodents. This is because of the integral role they play in an ecosystem and their contribution is much needed. So when we say snakes are controlled, they are rarely killed if needed to but otherwise snakes are caught then their venom is taken out and after iterations of taking the venom out, they are left in forests or bushy areas to survive.
